A vision from far away,
graces a young soul,
sending ideas raging through,
hoping to one day,
be understood.
As he grows,
his mind evolves,
as does his body and passions.
Yet his mind dwells upon the vision,
he received from far away. And he wonders,
if anyone would ever understand him?
So he seeks the one who could understand him
and the vision from far away,
without avail.
Until,
one day,
by chance,
he meets a strange old man.
He seemed familiar, yet distant.
He seemed wise, yet mad.
But most of all,
He seemed saddened deeply.
but this young soul
could not quite place him,
nor understand
the state the old man was in.
So he asked the old man,
“Old man,
I have searched far and wide
for one who can help
with a vision I received from far away,
so I ask of you,
whether you could aid me. "
The old man laughs,
then stares into
the young souls eyes,
boring into him,
into his deepest self.
And then,
the old man says simply:
I know who you are,
I know from where your visions were conceived and sent,
And I know that you wish to be understood.
But I will not help you at all,
because I will not help the one that broke my heart.
As he turned to leave,
this young soul,
saw,
the single tear,
streaking his weathered face,
like an unrepairable cut,
scarring.
